What a busy, busy week we’ve had! We’ve played in our cafe role play, planted flowers, programmed Beebot, went to look for a dragons nest, read our favourite books, compared welsh artists, measures size and temperature, talked about our clothes in welsh, write and followed instructions, practiced adding and subtracting, played team games, composed digital music, practiced maths with Lego, had a visit from Welsh Water and became Energy Warriors!
Not sure we can top that next week!

I love seeing the photos of everything happening around the school each week!
This week we have read the Tiger Who Came to Tea, visited the cafe at the Mansion House, practiced number bonds, worked on our ball skills, celebrated the lunar new year and St Dwynwens Day, halved numbers, practiced our welsh phrase of the week, had a furry golden time visitor, showed off our online safety skills, played rope games in team building, practiced improper fractions and…. Thanks to Miss Short and the Eco team, we have maintained our Platinum Eco Award!
Don’t forget our chocolate filled Easter chicks, baskets and bunnies and still available to purchase from Mrs Moore, Mrs S.Jones and Mrs Lewis!

What a wonderful, but slightly chilly, week at Malpas Court! We’ve been super busy, despite the cold. We’ve practiced our bonds to 10, sketched landscapes, doubled numbers, learned about Wales, practiced our Welsh, learned about different substances with PC Lisa, had a visit from the fire service, made crafts for the Lunar New Year, created silhouette art and researched composting.
Don’t forget our handmade Easter bunnies and chicks are available to purchase again this year! Chocolate orange bunnies are £4 each, crème egg chicks are £1. Both are available from Mrs Moore, Mrs S.Jones and Mrs Lewis.

It has been lovely having everyone back after the Christmas break! We’ve jumped straight back into our work this week. We’ve tried soup, video called a class in New York, made Welsh rarebit, practiced our doubles, learner about road safety, tasted Welsh food, talked about internet safety, worked on our team building skills and practiced our number formation.
So much to squeeze into one week!

What a fun end of term we have had at Malpas Court! We went to the Mansion House to see Santas grotto, had our Christmas parties, watched films in our pjs, printed with potatoes, solved problems, completed science investigations, practiced the welsh months, made Christmas crafts and sang carols at Newport High and Whittle Drive.
We wish you all a wonderful Christmas and new year! See you in January!

We have had a very festive week at Malpas Court! We have had Christmas dinner in nursery, performed in Christmas concerts, worked on our team skills, problem solved, learned about Christingle at Trinity Church, created graffiti art and celebrated our 100% attendees!

This week we’ve met Santa, invited our grown ups in to play, played games with Newport Live, learned about the Nativity, celebrated our BEBRAS winners, performed our Christmas concerts, got out of an escape room, took part in Hour of Code, practiced our sports skills, decorated our classrooms and checked in on our naughty elves!

Our telephone lines are down
Tue 06 Dec 2022Our telephone lines have now been down for over a week. We have been informed that BT/ Open Reach will be commencing work to fix them on the 8th and 9th December 2022, with the work expected to be complete by Monday 12th December.
Therefore we are currently unable to make or receive external calls.

We were surprised with a visit from Santa and his helpers today- thanks to Malpas Court Social Enterprise! We’ve been busy making Stickman, playing sports with Newport Live, developing our computer skills, showing off our marvellous maths, developing our teamwork with Commando Joe, creating AI art, learning to debug code with Minecraft, reading our favourite books and visiting St Fagans!
We hope you’re looking forward to coming in to watch our Christmas performances starting next week!

A wet and chilly week at Malpas Court, but that didn’t stop our adventures! We’ve explored Stickman, learned about our friends, practiced our Christmas concerts, made hot chocolate, built igloos, doubled numbers, litter picked in the community, had a go at DJ-ing, debugged code in Minecraft, developed our team skills and watched the football. (Wasn’t the result we wanted, but still a great experience watching the match!)
