  I hope this little reminder brings back some fond memories of this year, even though we are sad to be saying goodbye to some staff -as well as our year 6 who are off to high school.

  Our Week in Pictures - 14.7.23

  It may be almost the end of term, but we are still squeezing in the fun at Malpas Court. We’ve had a beach party, developed our Commando Joes team building skills, taken part in music and movement, filmed with the green screen, practiced our multiplications with Minecraft, worked on our doubling, visited Tredegar Park, decorated the outside area with chalk art and opened our new library- Guylian Glade.

  Wow, what a week we’ve had at Malpas Court! We have been busy holding our sports days, reading news reports, taking part in unplugged coding, practicing our Welsh, showing our place value skills, filming with the green screen, playing dodgeball, adventuring at Llangrannog, creating art inspired by Tim Pugh, collecting awards from Newport High School and meeting our local police officers as part of anti social behaviour awareness week.

   

  Thank you to everyone who came along to our sports days to support the children, they love having you there. A big thank you to everyone who came along to our book fair as well!

  Well we didn’t manage to hold our sports days this week thanks to the drizzly weather, but we still managed to have a lot of fun!

   

  We met a real bee keeper, learned all about bees, worked with money, developed our Commando Joe team skills, had a hip hop breakdance workshop with DJ Bad Meaning Good and breakdancer Tommy Boost, carried on investigating mini beasts and made the most of the sunshine when it came out! 

   

  Keep an eye of Class Dojo for alternative dates for sports day and don’t forget to visit the half price book fair after school!

  We have had a warm week at Malpas Court. We’ve been developing our team skills, playing outdoors, practicing our phonics, building on our ICT skills, recording news reports with DJ Suzie and hunting for mini beasts!

  Our Week in Pictures - 16.6.23

  We have had another fun week in the sun at Malpas Court! We were lucky enough to meet a real author, learn about frogs, welcome real tadpoles into our classroom, practice our story starters, develop our team skills, have a fantastic day exploring at Cefyn Mably Farm Park, had an exciting session with DJ Suzie, been to the pool to practice our swimming skills and had a day on the beach at Barry Island!

   

  We know who our teachers will be in September and we are looking forward to spending time in our new classrooms soon, getting to know our new teachers.

  We have had a super busy week at Malpas Court, with lots of fun in the sunshine. We’ve been making music, having fun at Cefyn Mably Farm, exploring adjectives, working on Hwb, dividing objects, writing in the past tense, learning about Empathy day with author Cath Howe, creating art in the style of Matisse and celebrating with our Astro Pi certificates!

   

  We have so much more fun and excitement to squeeze in before the end of term!

  We have had a beautiful, sunny week at Malpas Court. We have enjoyed fruity lollies in the sun, constructed a bug hotel, developed our maths skills, visited Newport Wetlands, dusted off our sports day skills, designed our own video games and explored coding with Lego Spike. We had a lovely end to this half term!

  We have had a beautiful sunny week at Malpas Court. We have been exploring symmetry, making music, painting our new mud kitchen, preparing fruit salad, learning about online safety, researching fact files, investigating habitats, creating ecobricks, taking part in a CAF workshop, designing our own video games, litter picking, visiting Zero Waste Torfaen and learning about Sacred Space Day at St Mary’s.

  We have had a fun packed week at Malpas Court! We welcomed visitors from Turkey, Spain and Greece, we played bingo in the community, we learned about food safety, practiced our number formation, read the Hungry Caterpillar, hunted for minibeasts, worked on our team skills, played music, learned about recycling food packaging, identified shapes, worked on our sketching skills, coded with Lego, held a litter survey and learned about plants and flowers.
