Where children learn to live and live to learn in an ever changing world

Year 3/4 Mrs Harvey

Monday 22nd June

Good morning everyone. Yesterday I saved a bee. At first I thought that it was dead as it wasn't moving. I picked it up very carefully and it moved (it made me jump). I looked on google and it said that the bee was probably dehydrated (thirsty). It said they liked sugar water so I mixed a teaspoon of sugar with some water and placed the spoon under the bees head. It started to drink the water. I made a little video clip to show you, which I will upload soon. The bee wasn't a stripy bee, it was a different colour. So I wondered how many different types of bees there are in the UK. I was shocked. Can you find out how many types of bees there are in  the UK? Which are the most common? Draw a picture of the most common bee in the UK.

Wednesday June 17th

This is my cat Luna. I love her very much, but this morning she sat on my laptop and wouldn't move to let me work. I offered her Dreamies, her favorite treats but she still wouldn't move. Do you have a pet? Can you share a picture with a description of him or her?

Here are some Yoga Flows to help you keep active. They are especially useful if you have a limited space or you can't go outside.

These poses will help you with your emotions.

Tuesday 16th June

There was a lot of noise in my garden today. The birds were singing in very loud voices.

I went outside with my camera and made a discovery. I thought I would share it with you.

Have you discovered anything amazing in your garden? What is it? Can you take a picture and post it on our class page?
