Bebras Computational Thinking Challenge 2020
At the start of November KS2 entered the Bebras Computational Thinking Challenge online. This is an international challenge, where the top 10% across the country go on to compete in the finals at Oxford University!
We entered into three categories; Kits (age 6-8), Castors (age 9-10) and Juniors (age 10-12). We were the only Primary School in Newport to enter the Kits and Castors Categories and the children all did an amazing job!
Year 3 and 4 took part in school during their ICT time, where as years 5 and 6 took part independently at home.
Over the weekend, Bebras released the results and published the certificates which have been given out to everyone who participated. There are also three winners for 'Best in School' (one for each category), those children received an additional prize along with their certificate.
It was fantastic to have so many children involved in this and it is something we would love to take part in again next year!
