It’s been a week of royal celebrations at Malpas Court! We made our own crowns and came together on Friday to celebrate the coronation of King Charles.
We have also been busy making music, practicing our doubles, learning new digital skills and identifying the features of non-fiction writing.
We hope you all enjoy another long weekend and we’ll see you all on Tuesday!

We’ve had a lovely sunny week at Malpas Court!
We have spent lots of time outside, practiced our HFW, explored the role play, read Undersea Cleaning Spree, investigated litter in our community, partitioned numbers, learned about continents, practiced coding on Kodable and Scratch, made recycling posters, hunted for mini beasts and built our own kites!

What a super colourful week we have had at Malpas Court!
We celebrated Easter at Trinity Church, gave out our attendance awards, donated money to St David’s Hospice, paraded our amazing Easter hats, invited our grown ups in for forest school, hunted for eggs, counted in 2s, made friendship bracelets, rounded numbers to the nearest 10, practiced the ukulele, played tennis, filmed with our green screen, made chocolate Easter nests and chilled out with Easter yoga.
We hope you all have an amazing Easter holiday and we look forward to seeing you all next term!

We’ve had an excellent week at Malpas Court! We’ve learned about day and night, competed in a Lego tournament, coded with Lego Spike, had our sharing assemblies, learned about forces, been on a nature hunt, made circuits, been adjective hunting, sorted shapes and visited St Mary’s for their Easter service!

First Lego League - Rising Stars Winners 2023

We were really fortunate to be awarded a grant from the IET, which allowed us to take part in the First Lego League Challenge Tournament this year.
On Wednesday, our team travelled to Willowtown Primary, Ebbw Vale, to compete against 14 other schools across South Wales.
We came away with the trophy for ‘Rising Stars’, which we have proudly put on display outside the office! 🙂

We have had a very scientific week at Malpas Court!
We have created electrical circuits, taken part in an Adobe workshop for British Science Week, identified shapes, coded shapes in 2Logo, rounding numbers, developing our basketball skills, building sentences, building our batting skills with Cricket Wales, experimenting with floating and sinking, as well as wearing red to support Comic Relief.Don’t forget we’re closed to pupils on Monday, so we look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday!

What a cold, snowy week we’ve had at Malpas Court!
We have a group of y6 in Romania with Erasmus, we played in the snow, meditated with Mini Me Yoga, practiced Dough Disco, completed science experiments and worked on our bowling with Cricket Wales!
Hopefully next week will be a little bit warmer…

We have had a very Welsh week at Malpas Court!
We were blown away with your Eisteddfod entries- da iawn pawb! We loved inviting our families in for the Big Brew as well as into nursery for St David’s Day.
We have worked on our gymnastics skills, read the gingerbread man, played cricket with Cricket Wales, created Venn diagram’s, practiced our basket ball skills, worked with Energy Sparks and built smart greenhouses with EESW.

We have ended this half term on a high! We’ve made bird feeders, completed valentines activities, written instructions, built dragon dens, crafted dragons, made thinking caps, taken part in PE, explored other countries and tasted their food, designed pixel art, practiced fractions, baked welsh cakes and partied at the valentines disco!

Spring is in the air at Malpas Court this week!
our Digital Leaders did a great job showing the governors around the school on Wednesday.
We’ve been busy playing outside, working on letter recognition, practicing our welsh vocab, identifying feelings, looking at welsh art, exploring multiples, practicing with out ukuleles, exploring Music Lab, developing our maths skills with Lego, playing rugby with the Dragons, visiting Welsh Water, practicing our team skills with Commando Joe and learning about Cyber Safety with PC Lisa!
